Why go out when you can have a painting (and sipping) party at home?

 

An art party is a fun, easy way to enjoy an evening with friends! All you need is a location, indoors or out, with tables and chairs. I bring the art studio to you and take special care to protect your home by providing drop cloths, table cloths and aprons for each guest. Absolutely NO painting experience is necessary. I will guide you and your guests step-by-step in creating a beautiful 12” x 16” masterpiece, teaching you some new skills, and inspiring your creativity.

Again, NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Even if you haven’t picked up a paintbrush since elementary school, it is time to get the creative juices flowing and feel like a kid again. Book a party today!

How does it work?

Contact me with a date and time in mind and choose a painting from the Art & Pour Art Gallery (or I can create a new one for your event). Invite your friends and plan the refreshments (libations are always optional). On the day of the event, I will quickly transform your home or office into an art studio with the tables and chairs you provide, and guide you and your friends, stroke-by-stroke, through the creation of your very own masterpiece. After just a few hours of socializing, you will be amazed at your work of art. At the end of the event, your guests will leave with a wonderful sense of accomplishment and a beautiful, original painting ready to hang on their wall!

What does it cost?

Fee includes set up/tear down, all painting supplies, 12”x16” canvas, and 2 hours of instruction time.

Social Event:
$25 – $40 per guest (depending on the painting chosen)

Fundraiser:
$40 per participant (50% will be donated back to the fundraiser)

After availability is confirmed, private parties are booked by placing a 25% deposit, or a minimum of $50 non-refundable deposit to hold a date.The amount of the deposit is determined by the size of the event. All deposits are applied to the total cost, and the balance is due on the day of the event.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give 48-hours notice if you need to cancel. Cancellations should be made by email, or over the phone at 703-431-7152. With advanced notice, a credit may be given towards another session.

How long do painting parties last?

Most events are three hours including half an hour for set up, 2 hours for painting, and half an hour for take down. 1 or 2 breaks are taken at different stages of the painting or as needed. If your event has time constraints, I can design a program to fit your time frame.

What size canvas do you use?

For traditional painting parties, standard size is 12″ x 16″, however you may request to upgrade to a 16″ x 20″ for a small fee.

Will it get messy?

I use a non-toxic, water soluble acrylic paint which dries quickly. While I do provide disposable aprons, drop cloths and plastic table cloths, you should dress in clothes you wouldn’t mind getting a drop of paint on. If you get a little paint on your hands it washes right out. A small amount on your clothing or furniture is cleanable with soap and warm water while wet. Try a little liquid fabric softener in the wash to remove any remaining color. I will take every precaution to ensure as little mess as possible, but accidents do happen.
